Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Remove Shadow, an AI-powered online service designed to remove unwanted shadows from photos. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

Remove Shadow provides users with an AI-powered image processing service that removes unwanted shadows from photos. Our service supports various use cases including:

• Portrait and selfie shadow removal (harsh face shadows from side light or overhead sun)
• Product and e-commerce photo shadow removal
• Document and book page shadow removal (phone and hand shadows, uneven lighting)
• Passport and ID photo shadow removal

Use of the Service

You agree to use the service in accordance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You may not:

• Upload images containing illegal content
• Use the service to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer our AI algorithms
• Use automated tools to abuse the service
• Resell or redistribute our service without authorization

User Accounts and Registration

1. Account Creation: To access certain features of the service, you need to create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

Credits System

1. Credits Usage: Our service operates on a credits-based system. The number of credits each image consumes depends on the AI model you select and the output resolution — typically 3–6 credits per image at standard resolution and 6–12 credits at 4K. The exact credit cost is shown in the interface before you confirm each job.

2. Credit Validity: Credits have an expiration period as specified in your purchased plan. Unused credits will expire after the validity period.

3. Non-Transferable: Credits are non-transferable between accounts and cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Refunds: Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy. Unused credits are not refundable except as specified in that policy or as required by applicable law.

Uploaded Content

1. Ownership: You retain ownership of all images you upload to our service.

2. License Grant: By uploading images, you grant us a limited license to process, store temporarily, and deliver the processed images back to you.

3. Content Restrictions: You agree not to upload images that:

   • Contain illegal content
   • Violate third-party intellectual property rights
   • Contain malware or harmful code
   • Violate any applicable laws

4. Data Retention: Uploaded and processed images are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after processing.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content provided through Remove Shadow, including but not limited to the AI models, algorithms, website design, and documentation, is protected under copyright law. The copyright owner of Remove Shadow is removeshadow.com.

• You acknowledge that you do not own the underlying technology or intellectual property that makes up the Remove Shadow service.
• You may use the processed images for any lawful purpose, including commercial use.

Pricing and Payments

• Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem.io.
• All purchases are subject to our Refund Policy.
• Prices are subject to change with notice to users.
• You agree to pay all charges associated with your selected plan.
• Prices displayed are exclusive of tax. Any applicable value-added tax (VAT) or sales tax is calculated and added by Creem at checkout based on your location.
• Charges will appear on your bank or credit card statement as "RemoveShadowAI" (processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem).
• For consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, digital services begin immediately upon your express consent. You acknowledge and agree that once the service has begun (when you first use credits or start processing an image), you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. You may still withdraw in accordance with applicable law before the service begins.
• Subscription plans will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• If you begin a checkout but do not complete it, our Merchant of Record, Creem, may send a reminder email about the incomplete order to the email address on your account. These checkout reminder emails are a marketing communication; you may unsubscribe at any time via the link included in the email, without affecting your ability to return and complete your purchase.

Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We reserve the right to perform maintenance that may temporarily affect service availability.
• Processing times may vary based on server load and image complexity.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the service, us, or third parties.

Upon termination:

• Your access to the service will be revoked
• Unused credits will be forfeited only if your account is terminated by us for a violation of these Terms. If you voluntarily cancel a subscription (by choosing not to renew), the credits already granted for your current paid period remain available until the end of that period.
• Your uploaded images will be deleted

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations about:

• The accuracy or quality of shadow removal results
• The suitability of the service for your specific needs
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, removeshadow.com shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• The use of or inability to use the service
• Any errors or inaccuracies in processed images
• Loss of data or images
• Any unauthorized access to your account

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless removeshadow.com, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which removeshadow.com operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the service after any changes signifies your acceptance of the new terms.
